This place is not what we expected at all. When we moved here, we did not have much time to look for an apartment... They showed us an apartment in a totaly different building, and I thought it would be ok for a 6 month lease - but then when we came to pick up the keys they informed me that I would be in a different building. The day we moved in, there were "gangster" looking guys hoot'en and hollering at me and my friend as we were moving stuff up from the Uhaul, since then every day they would stand outside the apartments and mess with me when I came home from work.
During the summer, there were BATS in the hall!!! YUCK! And the entire hall ways in the building smelled like a cross between a petting zoo, swetty arm-pit,and a smokey bar. The roof leaked when it rained so the hall carpets were moldy, and there was always cigerett buts all over the halls. One day during the summer there was a baby's diaper laying on the side-walk in front of the entry doors, not to mention pieces of garbage all over the yards and parkinglot. One night I came home around midnight and some lady was standing on her thirdfloor deck on the phone yelling for her boyfriend or husband to get his a** home and I heard her when I first turned into up the parking-lot drive! Then one day there was a bunch of police running through the back yard (by the playground) with their guns out... and the police hillicoptor flies around the apartments every day! There was a bunch of cop cars all over the parking lot one day, assuming they had raided some one's apartment! This place is the GHETTO of NorthWest Omaha, and I have been completely embarroused to have people come over!
As far as the staff: They are very nice, but I dont think they could pay me enough to work here LOL! I have to take my hat off to them for putting up with all that crap.. but I think this place needs to be tore down and re-built and bring in better people as tenants. I heard there was a woman who was robbed at knife-point right in the hall of her apartment building here just over the summer, at 4:00 in the afternoon in broad day-light! If you are gonna live here, better know self defense!
