I have been living in the apartment complex for more than 3 years now. I am unhappy about multiple things:

1) Garages in the apartment complex are hideous. Paying $45 for something with manual doors, no light inside and leaking roof.

2) Multiple and repeated privacy violations: I was experiencing constant privacy violations. They can show up without a warning and do an unnecessary repair. They did scheduled apartment inspections once a year for the last two years. After one of these inspections, about a month later after visiting the apartment, they showed up an replaced my toilet seat. No 24-hour warning, no nothing. Impossible arguing with them. The new management is very similar to the old one. One time, they came to my garage and threw away all my belongings from it. No warning, no nothing. Apparently, they had really poor records and did not know who was renting their garages. I had over $300 worth of stuff in there. At the end after a LOT of arguing I got a $100 credit towards my rent. At first they did not see that they did anything wrong.

If you ask them to fix something next week, they would show up a day later. They lady who took my repair request, wrote my time request on paper, but they still showed up 2 days later, not a week later. This is true with old and new management. Total privacy violations.

3) FREE carpet cleaning with every year lease is another lie. During old management, I had to remind them 3 times during 6-month period to clean the carpet. On the 4th time, they said that it was already too long into my leas to clean the carpet and that I have to sign a new lease to have my carpet cleaned. The new management seems very similar. I made a request to have my carpet cleaned after the lease sign, and there is no word from them for them for the whole month.

4) Safety: had my car broken in twice over the last 4 years. One time, it was my fault, did not lock the door. They took the stereo. The second time, they broke the window and took my other stereo (never buy a stereo if you cant take off a faceplate). Nowadays, they hired a security company which kind of made things better. I see police here very fequently, at least once a month, very often it is at least 3 cars that show up.

5) Construction of apartments: the heat seems to leave my apartment very quickly. If AC is off in summer, the temperature will rise from 75 to 85 within 2-3 hours. Isolation between neighboring apartments is ok.

6) One the bright side: the emergency repairs are done fast. I did not have problems with the previous management as well with this. I had my AC/ plumbing fixed on the same day it broke.
