A few years ago, this place wasn?t really too bad. Not anymore! If I were you, I would stay away. The new management team does not screen tenants, so you will very likely be living next to people who are not the sort of people you would like to live next to: partiers, drug-users, incosiderate people who smoke in the hallway and who generally treat the building like a trash can.

This is the filthiest building I have ever lived in. The stairwells always fill with trash and, if you just take a look at the carpet and walls, you can see how they take care of things -- they don?t.

Just take a look at the entry lobby to this building -- with its ratty carpet, dirty walls and water-stained ceiling (from a persistent water leak they *never* fix). Then take a step into the elevator, assuming you can get it to work. Look how dirty it is -- and take note of the graffiti that is constantly scrawled inside.

The apartments themselves aren?t that bad, but the very inefficient windows make for a drafty existance. The all-electric units are also very, very expensive when it comes to heating and cooling. And the walls are absolultey paper-thin: You?ll hear every conversation your next-door neighbor is having.

The neighborhood is dangerous -- with homeless folks and people from the bus station *constantly* panhandling and harassing passersby.

Don?t let the friendly manager convince you that this is a nice place to live -- it isn?t. The worst thing is the undesirable people -- you?ll have police in the building all the time dealing with unruly tenants. And I?ve seen at least three or four eviction signs from the county courthouse pasted on peoples? doors -- not the kind of place you want to live.

You can find much nicer places downtown. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. IT IS A HUGE DUMP AND HAS REALLY GONE DOWN THE TUBES QUICKLY IN THE LAST YEAR OR TWO.
