Fine - Until Move Out Me Too!

I too lived in the Vanderbilt for nearly two years. Paid the rent on time every month, asked little of complex. My apartment was spotless when I left and I even left my blinds in the living room and bedroom that I purchased at move in. The complex is holding my deposit claiming partial replacement of carpet (over $300 for that shabby beige piece of crap that had a seam down the middle the entire time I lived there) and "resurface stovetop." The total charges are over $400. I guess that's the repayment for being a good tenant and taking care of the unit.
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPLEX. They will scam you.
I am seeking legal help and believe they have no case. Anyone with similar complaints in recent past, please contact me at jupiter_130@hotmail.com. I believe a class-action suit is a good route to go, and am contacting local media to see if anyone is interested in the story.
