Good points:

-Office staff was fairly nice and helpful although I only had to deal with them a couple times.
-Had to call maintenance a couple times and they were there within the same day.
-Apartment was very quiet; I never heard my neighbors except for a couple teenagers who would run up the stairs late at night, but other than that there were no noise problems.
-Two pools which were kept clean and a nice little gym. Also, you are able to use the pools and the bigger gym at neighboring Biltmore apartments.
-Nice jogging trail.
-No major bug problems except for a spider now and then, but then again I lived on the 3rd floor; it may be worse on the ground floor.
Bad points:

-Vanderbilt apartments are very cheaply made and not worth the rent. During the winter I had to put plastic over my bedroom window to keep out the wind.
-Maintenance was rude when they came to fix my kitchen sink which was backed up. He blamed me for it and accused me of putting grease down the disposal which I didn't do.
-The stupid policy of charging $15.00 a month pet rent in addition to a pet deposit.
-Parking is bad if you get home after about 8pm.
-Don't expect to get your deposit back.

Overall the Vanderbilt was not too bad but you could find a better apartment for the money.
