My roommate and I have lived here for 11 months and pay $875 a month. On 4 different occasions last summer our air conditioner quit working and it was over 90 degrees in our apartment when we got home.(We have 2 dogs) We were told that it wasn't an emergency and they would fix it when they were available. SO we didn't have air for a total of 9 days. Our dryer broke and it took them 6 days to replace it. We were infested with mice all winter ( on the 3rd floor). We caught about 7 in traps. Then about two weeks ago we smelled gas in the apartment and called the 24 hour emergency service and they said someone would be there before midnight.....NO one ever showed up. I stayed up until 3 am. Our garage was broken into from the next garage through the particle board and we had a lot of stuff stolen. The girls in the office are just for looks....they aren't friendly ( except when you are moving in) and they can never answer any questions we have so we have to call corporate. We were out of town the day we were supposed to give our 30 day notice ( which you bet your ass we have been looking forward too) so I went down on April 2nd to let them know. They told me that I would have to pay $1100 for the month of May even though we are moving out April 30th since I was a day late with my notice. I do although highly recommend Valley View Estates in Council Bluffs where we lived before and are moving back too. They are wonderful. The Vanderbilt is a joke and are just flat out crooks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 0 out of 10
