We've Moved To Hell

First of all, I must say that these people put up a very good front when they take you to look at their model. The model apartment that we looked at was beautiful! New windows, new carpet, new everything. We were assured that our new apartment would have all of these new things, too. What a lie!
The day we moved in, we went to the office to get our keys and sign last minute paperwork. We ended up waiting over 45 minutes for someone to show up... even though we had an appointment. Apparently, they had forgotten. This cost us $95 because we had movers already there and ready to go, which we had been assured would not be a problem.
Once we finally got into the apartment we discovered that the painting we had asked about when we finally saw the apartment had not been taken care of. Both of the bathrooms and one wall in the living room had been primed but not painted. Also, our garage door had been smashed in from someone hitting it the night before we moved in and was complete with a wasp nest.
I have heard the neighbors above us screaming every morning between 2:30 and 3:30, which usually wakes me up, even though I am a very heavy sleeper. When we talked to the office, all they did was say "well, you live below people." Sorry, but 2:30 in the morning is ridiculous! Last night we even had a fist fight going on in the hallway, and when we were forced to call the cops, we were informed by the police that they are out here at least 4-5 times a week!
We were definitely misled, and I can't wait for a year to be up so I can get the hell out of here!

I feel your pain. Same thing happened to me. When my year was up, I couldn't leave fast enough! Thing is, 2 others moved around the same time I did. I also complained about the noise above me and was given the same response. I called numerous times about repairs and finally gave up, and decided I just had to bide my time and get out. you might try calling the corporate office. That did a bit of good for me but often I was just referred back to the clubhouse. Once I was deemed a 'trouble-maker" the on-site staff treated even more porrly. Good luck! BTW - I absolutely love my new apt. and mgmt. is very responsive. My new place is nicer and about 15% less expensive. The Heights is definitely not worth the money they charge and they raise the rent quite a bit when your lease expires.
