There may be worse, but there's also better.

I've been living in Wellington Park for 11 months now. I'm moving out even before the lease is up. Wellington Park is decent, but here are my complaints.

The Management:
There's only one person, and she manages more than just Wellinton Park. I know she also manages Corby Castle. I don't know if she does anything else. Regardless... I didn't like her before we moved in, and I probably should've taken that to consideration.

Parking:
Well, the parking sucks quite franky. There are NOT enough stalls at all. Also... my car's been broken into TWICE in the visitor's section. I talked to the management both times, and her reply was "call the police. There's nothing I can do about it." This isn't a bad neighborhood, so why the heck is there an issue'

Noise:
Well, if you like quiet, then it's a good place to live. It's a little... too quiet... if you ask me. I work from 2 - 10, so I'm up most the night. I live on the third floor, so I understand about parties. That's why I don't have them, but exactly like I asked when we moved in... how thick are the floors because I have friends. Well, the dumb landlord was like, "oh, they're made of cement." Pfft. Plus, I've had two noise complaints. Enough to where the manager said if I get another one, I get convicted. Look. I don't have parties... I don't have a social life... so I have been reduced to keeping music and t.v.s to where only I can barely hear them because I'm afraid of getting another noise complaint.

Apartment:
The apartment itself was decent... until we started looking at the small detail for the reports at the beginning of the move. We have had MULTIPLE issues with the carpet. When we first moved in, we noticed that there were bubbles in some areas, and I also stepped on quite a few nails poking up because the carpet wasn't covering them. Twice the carpet has come up and my cat's played with it. The first time, the landlord freaked out, saying that it would cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars and that I'd have to pay for it because it was my cat. MY CAT DOESN'T HAVE CLAWS. How the heck is she going to peel up the carpet if it's properly layed' And when the guy came to fix it, he just straightened out one of the bubbles by the closet and patched it up. I asked him how much something like that would cost... and he said like $20. She freaked out over nothing. Well, then it happened again by the bathroom. She got all mad about it again. She said it would cost them money every time someone came out there. Well, hello, fricken lay it down properly the first time.
Then there was also problem with peeling paint in the bathroom. All they did was slap some puddy on it. Well, it's not even the same color as the walls. I've had a problem with the dish washer making our dishes more dirty than when we put them in there, but they were able to clean that... the second time around.
We rent our washer and dryer from the apartment complex for an extra $15 a month. The first time we got them, they weren't clean and the dryer still had a load of someone else's clothes in them. Plus the dryer has not worked ever, I've complained about it a few times, but they don't ever fix it, so I've just been drying my clothes twice.
There are also holes in the walls. This has allowed wasps into our apartment. I've found atleast two holes. All the things in the previous reviews were true about bugs. I don't mind the spiders because I'm on the third floor so they aren't that bad for me. I have seen some weird centipede type bugs. Those are pretty gross. The bad one was the wasps. The guy came out and sprayed the first time. When that didn't work, all he did was come by the second time and leave a bottle was bug spray. It wasn't until I taped over the hole in the wall in the living room that the wasps stopped coming into the apartment.

I think overall, I'm PERSONALLY glad to be out of Wellington Park. It's not a horrible place to live... especially if you don't have to deal with the management a lot because that lady is a grouch. I would say that I would not recommend this place to anyone under the age of 40. Although, there are apartments with people in there 20s that think they can party in this complex... but they will soon learn. All in all, don't put this place too high on your list, but don't rule it out. Think, and think well before living here.
