Once upon a time, back in 2007, I wrote a wonderful review of Wentworth. I was accused of working for the company, since my review seemed so biased! I was a little offended, but decided maybe Wentworth wasn't a perfect fit for everyone and moved on.
Fast forward to the summer of 2008. Things changed. Everything went downhill FAST.
The paint on our bathroom ceiling got all moldy and started "bubbling". I called maintenance ASAP. A week went by. I called again. ANOTHER week went by, and some lazy jerk waddled in, took a peek, and said it was going to take some time to fix. Okay...'
Then, the ceiling caved in. WTF'! I was chilling in my bedroom and all of a sudden CRASH!!!! Plaster and water and paint chips were now covering EVERYTHING in my bathroom. I called for a month straight and the only thing they did was nail a board up over the hole.
In the meantime, they decided to do a maintenance check. I failed. They said there was urine in the toilet (where else would they like me to put it'!) and the walls and carpets were dirty.
Okay, okay. Being the nice, complying resident that I was I took a week off of work. I hired a carpet cleaner. I scrubbed and scrubbed walls until my arms felt like they were going to fall off. I made the place look freakin' amazing. I made sure my kids didn't use the toilet before the chick showed up, and figured all was good.
They came back, took some pictures, and left. I got a letter that day saying I had made an attempt to clean, but it wasn't good enough.
WTH'! Have they seen their craptacular apartments'! The place was so clean I would have licked the walls or eaten off of the damned carpet. I put in my 30 day notice. Screw them.
Did I mention the roaches' Oh yeah, baby, ROACHES. It was like Joe's Apartment some days.The roaches started in the hallway and went right up into the kitchen. The Orkin man would come spray behind my fridge once a week, but it never did any good.
Did I also mention the annoying neighbors partying in the parking lot until 5am' I called security once (because, you know, I enjoy my sleep every once in a while) and I got laughed at!!
And lets talk about the TWO POOLS that were never open and when they were they were so nasty that I would dare get in there! Ewwww...
Since moving out, I received a rough copy of a final bill, I guess. $40 for toilet seats. Really''! $40'! I could go down the list with all the ridiculous charges, but I'll spare you.
Please, the only thing I ask, RUN away from Wentworth. Save your money and your headache and rent ELSEWHERE!

LOL...this must be management writing this. Did this tenant not here the documented shooting in March of 07 or better yet the shots that were fired during an arguement the day after Memorial Day that involved what the police described as "known North Omaha Gang Members" that shooting was also documented in a written police report. If this is really a tenant well wait till move out time comes and they stick you with outrageous charges for minor things that are their responsibility. I also kept my place clean and had several sprays for silverfish. They are infested with those. As long as they continue to spray one unit at a time it will never get better until they deal with the problem on a larger scale. So.....it may be good now but believe me it will get worse!! You are still in the honeymoon stage.

hahah...this so a person that works there. just because the pools there are really horrible and if there are more than 2ppl there itll becrowed cuz theyre so small. i f parking was ample you wouldnt have to park a block away from your building. but i do agree security does patrol...now if they do their job is another story. As far as the minimal trash goes...try going out in the say time, you have more light to see all the trash.

So they "renovated" an apartment, yet neglected to fix a broken disposal or repair a leaky shower. Please share what you are smoking. I used to live there but now live in the general area. Whenever I ride past that complex; the last time being a week ago; it is still in the same condition as it was when I moved out over a year ago. Sometimes you can see the trash from Q Street. The first question anyone should ask is why do they have such a modern leasing office, yet the remaining property is lagging in aesthetics? Once a tour is completed, a subsequent question to pose is why are all of the appliances outdated? And the list of questions can accumulate from there. Also, when you vacate the premises, be prepared to be served with a list of fabricated damaged items that you???ll be responsible to pay for.

Yeah I agree with this review.....yeah like before I signed the horrible lease! Just moving in I could tell what a rotting bad place this was and that management was ONLY nice before you sign the lease and not a minute afterwards.

At least it's good to know that the management actually did something; they wrote this review. Are you freaking kidding me. Wentworth USA is the biggest piece of Real Estate trash in Omaha that's managed by low life scum. I moved out 2 years ago and everytime I think about this place my blood boils because it's amazing how they can screw people over left and right and still get away with it.

Section 76-1419 Chapter 76 Landlord to maintain fit premises. (1) The landlord shall: (a) Substantially comply, after written or actual notice, with the requirements of the applicable minimum housing codes materially affecting health and safety; (b) Make all repairs and do whatever is necessary, after written or actual notice, to put and keep the premises in a fit and habitable condition; (c) Keep all common areas of the premises in a clean and safe condition; (d) Maintain in good and safe working order and condition all electrical, plumbing, sanitary, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and other facilities and appliances, including elevators, supplied or required to be supplied by him or her; Is Wentworth USA/Wentworth Town homes following these guidelines for its TENANTS?

well i was going to take a peek at these apartments since they r conveniently located for me...but after this...lol roaches, silverfish, n piss in the toilets OH MY!!!

Also once upon a time...i cringe to admit this but i worked as a leasing agent there. UGH! It took me one time walking through the property to know that the place was trash. I tried to maintain a positive outlook and make great suggestions to owner and maintenance people (JOKE). I was there a very short time - maybe a month. It was awful and embarrassing to show an apartment with nasty carpet that was ripping apart and had no pad left underneath...I had asked repeatedly for these major types of issues to be fixed- because- IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO! Ethics in that place-forget it. I want to apologize to all tenants current and past. If I could have changed it all i would have. My car was even broken into and completely vandalized with the steering column ripped out! ALWAYS DO YOUR RESEARCH PEOPLE>>>FYI just because a company is part of the BBB...it is something you pay to be a part of so anyone can get in! SERIOUSLY
