We've lived here six months and haven't had any major problems except for the fact that its a dump. The apartment we moved into looked really nice until we realized that the "new" carpet was so cheap that it looked 20 years old after we lived there six months. The paint on the walls, or should I saw the paint on the dust, was horrible. The painters didn't think to dust anything in the house before painting, so there is dust covered paint everywhere! Additionally the paint is so cheap that when you wash it with a wash cloth it comes off. The basement walls are waterstained and all the paint is peeling away. Utilies are ridiculous b/c of the lack of insulation in the walls. Our sliding glass door is awesome--as long as you apply WD40 on a weekly basis. On the bright side you don't have to buy cable because you can hear the neighbors just fine for three. Also the drug dealer neighbor moved out so traffic isn't as bad is it was. On a serious note, maintance is ok...if your answer to everything is caulk. They say one and a half baths but its really two because the shower upstairs leaks (even though its been caulked three times) so bad that you could take a shower in the living room too. The kitchen has a lot of cupboard space, but you have to have the dishwasher open to get to some of the drawers. Its very family friendly because everyone just lets their kids run outside or cicle the complex in loud electric scooters--its like a free babysitter. It's so bad here that at night we can see a family of raccoons scurriing up the retaining wall in order to get to the apartment complex next door. Speaking of the retaining wall, never park by it b/c trees have been known to fall on cars and stay there for many weeks. Another bright spot at Whispering Pines is the managment--until you sign the lease. No need to set your alarm b/c whispering pines offers a complimentary wakeup call at 7:30 AM from residents continually honking the horns on their cars while parked in the middle of the lane. The mailman was nice enough to warn us to always watch our mail--he said he talked to NP Dodge about getting locked mailboxes, but they refused.

People get into our mailboxes? Did not know that! And that car by the wall with the tree in it, there for weeks, ridiculous. I know other people that live in there, constant parties. Some neighbors are great. Some REALLLLY REALLLLY suck, loud as can be. And the kids, are there ever parents around? Because them little brats are everywhere on food of skateboards, running out infront of you without looking. BTW.. did you know a month ago a lady got mugged in there? NO! because they did not send out a warning to ANYBODY!
