Relatively decent place to live...

Have some nuisance complaints about this property (rented a one-bedroom unit on top floor). A couple of the maintenance staff weren't very friendly. Leasing staff were usually helpful (beyond dropping rent checks off and renewing leases, had little interaction with them). Unit itself was nicely painted and carpeted, but on two occasions, roof/ceiling leaked (was finally fixed after second time). Fit and finish were average (several doors were too small for their frame...doors didn't latch properly). Also, during winter, outdoor entrances allowed for very cold apartments and equally high heating bills.
Being single, biggest complaint was noisy (and sometimes destructive) (Why do kids like to throw rocks and kill trees and plants') kids (sometimes past 11:00 p.m.) and the occasional late-night domestic dispute that spilled onto the parking lot. Being that a large portion of this property is legally considered "subsidized" (low-rent), the quality of SOME tenants, especially in buildings that housed 2 and 3-bedroom apartments) was in need of improvement.
I would highly recommend renting a garage (even before I rented a garage, I had no problems with vehicle vandalism) for weather-related reasons. Also, the centrally located mailbox cluster was a pain in times of weather extremes. If you are sensitive to noise (or bright parking lot lights), I would stay away from apartments facing parking lots!
