DO NOT MOVE HERE! I've lived (and still live but soon will be moving) here for 2yrs. This place is the worst. The cops are ALWAYS here...they've even added this complex to their regular patrol route! Usually, there are 2 or 3 cruisers parked in our parking lot while the officers are trying to resolve whatever problem that's going on. I've even seen some teenage girl leaning up against the trunk of a cruiser in handcuffs! NICE! I've had to call 911 several times myself...people fighting and threatening death @ 2am--not just a one-time occurrance, music/TV's blaring at all hours of the day. I am friends with a man who works for the Papillion PD and all the cops hate it. Since the complex is on Applewood Dr, the cops call it "AppleHood" or "The Hood". If that doesn't tell you enough, I don't know what will. I swear I have acrobatic elephants living above me. I understand hearing some noise and I get that people drop things...it happens but the people who live above me must be doing some sort of WWE wrestling or constantly dropping weights. Their bass system has only one level of volume: "GIVE YOUR NEIGHBOR A HEADACHE". We've asked them to turn it down and they don't. Most of the tenants only care about themselves and are anything BUT friendly. I'm one of maybe 3 people who pick up after their dog. I don't mind kids and I know they can be noisy...they're kids! BUT the parents don't ever watch their children and let them run around like crazy people. The parents are too busy NOT being parents. The kids scream at one another all day and into the night even when their standing next to one another. My sister was sitting out on our deck while the kids decided to start throwing shingles around. (Some of the rooving shingles had come off after one of our really bad summer storms.) We live on the 2nd floor and one of the shingles (that still had nails in it) almost hit my sister! She called them out and they mouthed off to her. She told them pretty much where to go and that she'd tell their parents the same thing AND call the cops. Clearly, being disrespectful is taught in their families. I don't know about anyone elses' but our apartment is VERY drafty. So bad, I've had to roll up towels to try and block the draft. No use, really as the cold just comes right through the glass. I can't even sit on my couch without a blanket though the thermostat is set at 71 during the winter. The original management (when I first moved in) seemed clueless about a lot of things. Since I've moved here, managemennt has changed 3 times. One night, while out with my dog, a woman drove up in her car, told me she was new to the area and looking for a place to live. She wanted to know if I'd reccommend this place...I flat out told her NO and proceeded to list all of the reasons why. My personal experience with the maintenance has been good. They are friendly and got my problems fixed within a reasonable timeframe. I must admit that the price isn't too bad and they don't charge ridiculously if you have pet. Those are the only 2 good examples I can give you. Other than that, this place is nothing but the bottom of a rubbish barrel! Trash, trash, trash! Please heed these words and DO NOT give this apartment complex your money!!
