If at all possible do not move here!!! Papillion?s version of Tijuana or Good Time?s!!!
To say that Char (apt.mgr.) is an airhead is a definate understatement!!! She wouldn?t know her head from her ass if she felt it with both hands!!
My fiance and I came in to check out apts. Char seemed so nice and upfront with us. We told her we would only move in unless we could get a garage in front of our building, she said that wouldn?t be a problem as a tenant was moving and that she would "Put us at the top of the waiting list." LIE!!!
We?re still waiting for a garage! More -------- she said while she was showing us around was "The property sells itself!" No, she sells the property!!!
Meanwhile, There?s a tenant that has lived here for ten years that has TWO garages that he doesn?t use for his vehicle, just storage of his "toys" he could easily fit into one.
Everything we touch in the apt. falls apart. Bedroom closet door came off the track, as did one of the kitchen drawers & the screen door. Also the glass shower door came off the track as I was opening it & fell on top of me as all that is holding the main bracket is caulk. The toilet rocked and shims had to be placed under it.
The ceiling was never painted. Char came to our apt. because she didn?t believe us. The ceiling was only spot painted & there was stains everywhere. She made a note of it and we asked if we could get in writing that the ceiling hadn?t been painted & all she could say was "Do you want me to lose my job'"
I?m fully aware of the laws concerning enterence of an apt. They are to give 24 hr notice for maintenance or repairs unless there?s an emergency as it states in the lease. Char had argued with me as to what the lease said. She said they have free access to the apt. as long as they have a work order for repairs!! She also said they have free access for maintenance issues & repairs weren?t considered maintenence! I said that if repairs aren?t considered maintenance, then why does the maintenance man do the repairs on apts. & not just bldg. maintenance. Doing repairs on the apt. helps keep the apt maintained. Therefore, repairs to the apt. are considered maintenance! I also said to Char, "How do you expect tenants to respect & follow the rules of the lease if mgmnt. dosen?t do the same or doesn?t know or understand the rules of the lease. She said "You?re absolutely right!" Is Char so dense that she doeesn?t understand this' Maybe, but I think she?s just trying to cover her own ass & not doing a very good job of it!!!
One more thing, BY LAW, management is to MAIL or HAND DELIVER ANY LETTERS OR MEMOS!!!
ie: If they just tape it to the door, anyone could rip it off & throw it away.
Char told me that she taped a memo to the door & left us a message on our answering machine regarding said memo. Neither of which we ever received!!
She also stated we had received a pool key which we didn?t. In their paper work they had us as having pool key #20. We didn?t even have a pool key. You would know it if you did, they?re weird looking. Pool key #20 was issued to the person who used to live in our apt.!!! AIRHEADS!!!
If you do for some reason decide to move here, beware of the shower situation!!! When you are showering all of a sudden there?s no cold water and you get scalded!!! There?s no temperature regulation at all!! Not very safe, especially if you have children!!!!
Sorry this is sooo long, but I have a lot to say about this place, especially management, if you want to call it that!!!
AVOID THIS PLACE!!!
