Do NOT be fooled by the charming ads in the local newspaper. Workout room' Moldy, crappy old equipment is more like it. Enjoy a dip in the pool' From Memorial Day to Labor Day only (except this year, when the pool FINALLY opened three weeks late). Quiet' I think not, particularly with the parking lot literally right beneath the bedroom windows. Poor insulation between units is also a problem. Rent hikes are higher than normal. For the past 12 months management has been using this excuse: "We did a market analysis and found out we were undercharging." Lucky for them there's a housing shortage. I feel badly for the elderly tenants who are paying in excess of $800 for a one-bedroom unit.
Finally, I don't know who the "security" staff is and what his purpose is, but my car was damaged TWICE in two years by vandals. When I called the management blurted out immediately, "We're not responsible." Do you think Johnny Rent a Cop could perhaps do his job and the place could maybe stand behind the tenants'
Before you rent ANYWHERE, talk to existing tentants. Don't bother with Alton Woods. We've finally gotten so entirely fed up, we're out of here.
