When I first came and looked at the apartments here at Alton Woods, I fell in love right away. The size of the apartments is unbelievable. I and my roommate also loved the fact that two bedrooms were very much overly larger than most we had looked and believe me looked at about 50!! Most other "apartment complex" two bedrooms consisted of a nice size bedroom then the second was equivalent not much bigger than a closet, but at Alton Woods to our pleasure the rooms were "extra" large and pretty equivalent to each other. The grounds here at Alton Woods are beautifully landscaped and metaciculously well kept, and the winter, the crews work very hard and do a fantastic job with keeping the parking lots/walkways clear. The hallways and common areas are kept very clean as well. The residents are very friendly and there is not a noise problem, no wild parties. I love the fact that every year we have a "resident appreciation" event with a band, catered food, and some pretty fantastic raffles. I feel like this is a family oriented apartment complex, and honestly I don't even like to call it "apartment complex" as I think of this as my HOME. There are so many more things to tell you about I don't think this comment box is big enough. But on a final note, the rental staff (Melanie and Roberta)are so perfect for their jobs! Both ladies are very people oriented, caring and always smiling and take the time to talk to you and with as many people as they see on a daily basis it still to this day amazes me that I can not see them but twice a year and they know who are you!!! I no longer have a roommate but the thought of leaving this place was not even a thought to me, I feel secure and safe and at the end of a long day still look forward to coming HOME!! Beautifully landscaped? It is native growth and none of the shrubs have been properly prunned! All of the 'sand' from the 'well maintained parking spots in the winter' remains on the ground and in the shrub beds and lawns all summer, and you think this is beautiful? The hallways and common areas have the orignal carpeting from 25 years ago and are dirty and smelly and probably have NEVER been shampooed or cleaned. I don't know what type of 'homes' you are used to growing up in, but if AW feels like 'home' to you, you might as well live in the city dump!
