First of all, when trying to find out if we were approved we had to track down Chris more than enough times and she did not call us back when she said she would. When we were shown the 2 bedroom apartments, they were in great shape and looked fresh and clean. When we moved into ours, the floors were gross and the bathroom is a pea green color and half of the fixtures were taped onto the walls with blue tape.
At the building I live in, the area around the outside is always littered and disgusting. There are always cigarette butts everywhere that are never picked up, and bottles including broken glass. The hallways are stained and there are always insects.
The insulation is AWFUL. In the summer, as soon as the A/C is turned off the apartment is quickly heated. In the winter, the heat does not do much at all and the windows and slider freeze/frost up and they cannot be opened. This is not just our apartment as other neighbors have complained about this same situation.
We have also tried to contact the landlord several times and have not received a call back or any type of acknowledgment.
If we were not tied down by a one year lease, I would not have stayed here after a week or two. In all honesty, I would never recommend this place to anyone.
Oh and I would also like to add in regards to the previous poster that it is true the maintenance is very noisy early in the morning and they really do walk around blowing leaves back and forth, which isn't necessary.

Manager's Response |

| A disgruntled resident who most likely received a warning(s) for a violation of the lease or perhaps lack of payment(s), wrote this anonymous posting. As manager of Salisbury Green for the past 8 years, I am puzzled by the comment regarding my lack of attention to potential renters and current residents, as they are the mainstream of my every day duties. Those familiar with Salisbury Green know we provide the best customer service possible and respond as quickly as possible to all issues. At the time of move in, all residents are given a Move In Inspection form, in which they are asked to make record of any issues or concerns. Areas of concern are addressed promptly. We cannot respond to issues not brought to our attention. The comments made regarding our appearance could not be further from the truth. Our staff pays particular attention to the properties needs, especially areas concerning appearance and resident safety. A drive through of the property will speak for its self. I am sure you understand that not everyone is truthful. Salisbury Green and the Hodges Companies have been serving their residents for over 35 years and we invite you to visit our community and see what makes our apartments one of the most desirable in the Concord area. I am also a resident and totally disagree with this response. I can't say enough about Salisbury green. For being in a city this place sets you apart from all the noise. I have been here for two years now and can't believe what a quiet country setting this place offers. And I to also delt with Chris and she was very pleasant and her response was quick. She was more than gracious with welcoming me into Salsbury green. Rome wasn't build in a day, not sure what they are talking about.
I would recommend Salisbury green any day, oh wait, I did, and now my grandmother has a nice quiet apartment across the way and just loves it.

Having resided at Salisbury Green for over ten years I found the inaccuracies contained in the anonymous posting dated 9-7-7 thoroughly ridiculous. The remarks made were vindictive, absurd and cause a reasonable person to question the motivation behind them. The property manager Christine Lewis does an excellent job maintaining a professional demeanor while dealing with an extraordinary range of personalities and duties. Not all of the individuals who sign a lease honor it; those who do appreciate Christine's vigilance and determination. All of the staff here works diligently to provide a pleasant, clean and welcoming environment. The job is never ending. I have recommended Salisbury Green numerous times and will continue to do so in the future.

I wrote the original message and why would I spend time making up some vindictive story? If you have had a wonderful experience at Salisbury Green, good for you. I lived there for a year (because I had a lease) and wasn't satisfied enough to recommend it. You would expect more from an apartment complex, it was mediocre, actually more below average and disappointing. I never received any warnings/violations or caused any trouble and I always paid my rent on time...could it just be that I was completely unsatisfied living there? I love how instead of taking my feedback you automatically go into a defense mode and assume that there is something wrong with me and I have an unreasonable motivation. Why don't you take unhappy complaints into consideration, that would be good customer service.

I like the fact that because this individual had a poor experience, he (or she) is labeled as someone who violated their lease or didn't pay their rent. How do you know this, Christine? Seems that your wonderful leader at Salisbury Green spends half her time ignoring tenants and the other half whining. Everyone tell Chrissy how great she is. Otherwise there will be a nasty response. Life isn't perfect, and some tenants have bad experiences....deal with it. And learn to take constructive criticism without bursting into tears, ok?
