Rent's going up...up...up

They lost my first months rent & stuck me with an eviction threat, then called to apologize. Not the best way to start out. Laundry fees went from $1.50 to $1.75 in a matter of months. I've now found out that rent is going to go up an additional $60/month, and I haven't been very pleased with the service I've received. There were several maintenence issues that still remain unresolved, for example, my windows do not lock, anyone could get in, and the broiler in my stove is being held up by a twist tie (thank you maintenence man number 2)... The club house started off free to my 1 frequent guest, & now it's $3 per person for a pool that reeks of urine from all the children. The fire alarm went off every other day for about a month until I think someone just disconnected it. My window on my car has been smashed twice with my stereo stolen both times. Children no older than 10 hang out on the tennis courts smoking & swearing.
On a good note, the apartment itself was freshly painted when I moved in, & the carpets were steam cleaned. If you have a package delivered, the club house will hold it for you for 10 days. The apartments appear to have been recently renovated. It was the most spacious 1 bedroom apartment I could find in Derry. It's convenient to major highways.
However, with all the negatives, it's just not worth the cost.
