Fairways

 

I have lived here at the Fairways now for 6 months, and have had no major problems.

When I first moved in I had a crack in my bedroom window and the maintenance crew was there next day to fix it.

The only other problem I had was the rug had shrunk during steam cleaning and that took a week to get fixed (only because I had a busy schedule and kept putting it off) About 3 months into the lease I had lost my job and went directly to the leasing office to notify them of my situation, I sat with a representative for 45 minutes and we worked out a plan for me to make sure my rent would work out.

As far as complaints about bugs in the apartments, shut your screen door, after all you are living in a heavy wooded area! I have never had any such problems.

I saw 1 other review complaining about mold growing in the bedroom.

Mold is an incredible thing it will grow ANYWHERE under any temperature and moisture setting so that is almost uncontrollable.

Noise in my complex has never been an issue except for "Mr.

Lead foot" who lived up stairs, but that expected whenever anyone lives above you in any situation.

There is the issue with only 3 washers per building but that is easily overcome if you do laundry at times when everyone isn't doing it, get home at 8pm on Thursday' Throw a load in! I have also read that hallways smell, that is yet another issue I have never had.

The worst it was for me is 1 of my neighbors baked a cake 1 night and I could smell it as I came in.

At least once a month there is a crew there vacuuming and cleaning all the hallways.

My girlfriend and I each own a car and have never had any problems with vandalism or theft so that is another mute issue with me.

Another issue I hear being brought up a lot is the amount for rent, I was previously living in Boston where $900 wouldn't even get you a studio apartment with nothing included at all! So paying $880 a month for a one bedroom apartment with heat and hot water seems pretty reasonable to me.

And one more point I do not live near the sample apartment that is shown when you first go in, so that isn't an issue with my building
