FED UP in 2004 and can't take anymore

Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2004
When we first moved back here in 1999 it was really nice and we felt safe raising our family here. They were under new management and everyone appeared better than the previous management team. Maintenance took care of what we needed when we moved in and the tenants in our building were pretty good. Through the short 4 years that we've been here we've seen more long-term residents leave and more section-8 move in. The management team does seem only to care about the money and not at all for their long-term residents. We have been using one washer for about a month now (they've been trying to fix the other one on-and-off now for a month.) AND.. being that the dryers dont turn back to $1.75 at 7am like they are supposed to, but turn back at about 9am, this simply makes it almost impossible get any laundry done. (They are on timers and set to a higher price at night so that it keeps the residents from using them late at night unless of course you choose to pay the higher price.) Management has been notified and nothing has been done about it. Actually, we had another issue with Maintenance taking about 3yrs to fix a problem in our apartment. We called the office several times and each time they said they?d send someone. Finally, we made our last attempt and told them this as well and they fixed it. Yes, this is luxury living' And the price of the rent just increases. Its very sad as this is one of the better places to live in Derry. Very convenient to highways and shopping. They do offer a lot of activities and it has the potential of being a really nice place. It's management that needs to improve. They need to really screen the residents that they are renting to and section 8 has to be screened better as well. Yes, there are many people that need assistance. The key word here is NEED. Not the ones that CAN WORK and choose not to and because they don't work they stay up late at night making all kinds of noise and sleep during the day. There's one lady in our building with two kids and cares for her elderly mother and STILL WORKS a job to support her family. This is the kind of section-8 that is acceptable. Anyway.. once the lease it up.. we're gone. AND.. please be advised there are sex offenders living on the premises as well. Yeah.. they did the legwork to screen these people now didn't they'' AGAIN, ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY.
