An utter trashscape. The hallways are infested with bored high school kids armed with knives and throwing stars who carve swastikas into the walls. The steps are covered with drunken, screaming rednecks at all hours of the night and day. The apartments are scummy, poorly maintained wrecks. Water coming from the pipes is either cold, or brown, or both. Wiring is a problem, and I have had to spend a small fortune on light bulbs, as they blow out on an average of one every four days. Noise is often a problem, as the walls are apparently made from paper, stuffed with tissue. Whenever your neighbors have sex, you will hear every detail. Management consists of one (1) surly goblin-woman who will lose your rent money every month, and then threaten to evict you for not paying your rent. Any problems in your building will invariably be blamed on you, your neighbors, or some previous landlords, who may or may not actually exist. The rent you pay, for what you get, is astronomical, provided, as mentioned above, that it isn't lost. The police are called in so frequently that there are plans to build a station at the center of the rotary seperating the buildings, and groundbreaking is due in the spring of 2006. Storage is opened approximately once a year; almost impossible to get them to open it, even more difficult to get anything out. Plowing is done only if one of the town plow trucks somehow wanders into your lot by accident. Trash pickup is sporadic, at best. Screaming, half-naked children will come banging on your door at 5 am on a Sunday, trying to convince you to let them into your apartment because their white trash parents locked them outside the night before. On the brighter side of things, the tenants, staff, and suspicious hangers-on who lurk in the woods outside my apartment building have yet to murder me.
