we have lived here for 4 years. The first 2 years were great with no rent increase. the past two years we have seen our rent go up $25 the first year and $20 this year. As these are not huge increases it seems petty to complain, however, we are getting notices about "improvements" that will be made to the apartments. the building that we live in has not seen a single improvement this past year, and the other three buildings have (The rents on the same floorplans in the other building have gone up the same amount)!
Another problem with these "improvements" is that they are all cosmetic. as one other reviewer noted the parking lots were paved, this was absolutely not necessary, and while it was being done there was No Parking for my building, which has 30 apartments! this building has 3 washers and 3 dryers, for 30 apartmets! as if that wasn't bad enough 90% of the time at least 1 washer is not working (which you don't know until after you put your clothes and money in the machine)and the dryers ALWAYS require at least 2 cycles!
everytime we call with a mantainence problem it has taken at least 2 weeks to fix, when we are told that someone will be up the next day!
Not to mention that this summer the lock on the front door of our building was broken for about three months before it was fixed, during this time all one had to do was jiggle the door and gain access to the building!
The apartments are clean, semi-quite and safe, but I would not recommend taking a unit in Building 1 unless you want your rent to increase annually for no reason, and have you maintance issue ignored!
