The only nice thing about Highwood Village is the exterior appearance. The apartments are small, and way to expensive. The management is rude, and very unwilling to please. The maintenance is also rude. The internet is slow, and fails most of the time(They did update the internet, but I did not stick around to use). DirecTV will also fail much more then it should. You don't get ALL the channels. The internet and TV is not FREE, it's included in rent(Nothing is free). During the school year Highwood is like a college dorm, all teens, and tons of partying. During the summer the little kids come out, and that's all you can here. Parking is ok, and the pool is nice.

Based on the poor punctuation and spelling, I would not take this person's review seriously. I suspect their problems with the management stem from their own attitude. It's a family apartment complex after-all, if you want an all adult setting, then you should look for an all-adult apartment complex.

The internet is indeed problematic--it works well most of the time, but I wouldn't count on it for an important last-minute file transfer or scheduled business meeting. Likewise, I wonder how much of my rent goes to cover the DirecTV service that I rarely use. That said, I've found the management and maintenance staff to be superb.

Maintenance & Management are touch and go, and they definitely play favorites. DirecTV is what it is - a satellite service that will go in and out with bad weather. The internet review is definitely accurate, even today. HVRenter shouldn't discount what someone says based on grammar and punctuation alone. Most important is the message of the writer.

I agree with everything except the comment about the maintenance guys, who were always very friendly and competent in their dealings with me. However, I am very disappointed with the apartment manager, who seems callously indifferent to any complaints about excessive noise in the apartments. Our upstairs neighbors were incredibly disruptive on a nightly basis, and she did nothing to help us amend the situation. Moreover, she was blithely unapolegetic when our dishwasher leaked gallons of water all over our kitchen floor our first week in the apartment. As a side note: I think it's amusing that HVrenter_01 had so much to say about the reviewer's poor grammar, and yet he or she failed to notice the comma splice (run-on sentence) in his or her own post. I guess, based on HVrenter_01's own standards of reviewer reliability, we can dismiss his or her retort to the original review.
