Compared to most other rentals in the area, apartments at Century are nicer than most. The apartments themselves are clean, but the appliances and fixtures are outdated. The entry doors to the apartments are paper thin, but the walls between the apartments laterally are pretty well sound proofed. The grounds are maintained very well and the dumpsters are easily accessible. Maintenance is pleasant and efficient about fixing things. Parking is included in the rent--covered parking is available for one car and there are a number of uncovered spaces for a second car.

There are many elderly people living in the complexes, a few middle aged residents, and very few young people. My finacee and I were the youngest people living in our building. Most of the older residents are friendly, but some are too friendly...in a nosy, invasive, constantly-looking-out-their-windows-at-you-or-your-visitors way. Also, the older residents I ran into were super touchy about noise--I didn't dare exercise to my aerobic videos at home for fear of my downstairs neighbors complaining.

Cats are allowed, which is nice, but last I knew you could only have one cat. Laundry is in the bottom floor in a laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers--the charge is 75 cents per wash and 75 per dry cyle. Make sure you have time to do laundry because sometimes a line develops.

Overall, Century is an okay place to live. Especially if you like the quiet.
