This might be an "ok" place to spend a year to get on your feet while living downtown, but you will probably find yourself anxious to move after that.
Unusual layouts, unusual neighbors, but affordable. One tour of the building and you will know if it is for you or not. Stick to apartments in the middle or front of the building as the rear alley is louder and attracts bugs from dumpsters below. The inside "courtyard" can be noisy at times as well as some tenants.
Overall its not absolutely horrible, but definately not very desireable. The landlords are pretty decent people to deal with.
