Bait and switch on move.com

Hello, I just went down to countryside village in Manchester NH for a tour of their grounds. What really caught our attention was the ad on move.com. It was offering the "peace" witch had 990SQFT a washer and dryer in unit, and a dish washer for $871. WOW what a great value! Yah, they didn't honor these prices.

The receptionist was very pushy and snooty as well. saying "As you can clearly see we only have 6 different style layouts, I don't know where this 7th layout came from. It must be a misprint on move.com, the site hasn't been updated in a while. I didn't even know this was out there. We'll have to get that fixed."

The ironic thing is though, at the end of our tour, I addressed some concerns that I had, and I didn't even get to finish my sentence, the lady was like your concerns are about the website apartmentratings.com' YES! Now how did you know about that website, but you don't know what ads you are putting out on the internet and probably paying for as well' It sounds to me like the good old bait and switch.

All of the two bed rooms that she had was over $1000 a month in rent. $50 additional for the washer and dryer, plus $25 extra a month per cat, we have two cats. The demo that she showed us was the peace which is largest apartment that they had, and It seemed like an ok size, although we were hoping the living room would be bigger. However to get it, we would be paying over $1200 a month. HUGE difference to the $871 advertised. The more I think about how conniving Countryside is, the more I want to write to the attorney general and let her know what just happened.

Based on the comments made in this review the only thing the reviewer should have marked as poor is the office staff. YOU NEVER LIVED HERE so then why did you put that you lived here from 2006 to 2008???

Rent is going up $40 a month for us here. So you might be getting an OK price. Cat rent, yes, we pay that too. Never heard of the "peace". Size sounds right though. I must say, I have never had a bad thing to say about the staff. Friendly and helpful, most of the time anyway. Good luck with your apartment!

Please do, they not only try to be conniving while getting you to sign your lease, they are even worse when you live here. The office manager is a dope- dumb as a rock. I had to call her 10 yes 10 times to get a problem fixed and waited over two weeks for the problem to be fixed. This place is horrible.

Horrible, horrible, looks pretty nice when you drive in, but the inside is'nt as nice and pretty, they only fix what you see when you drive in, what I don't understand is why they had to redo the clubhouse when the buildings are falling apart, they bought new furniture out by the pool foolishly spending our money I don't know who did the ordering, because you can't even put your arms on the chairs in the hot sun the metal burns you. Who in the world thought of that another tactic to have people not use the facilities, like they don't want you to use the clubhouse. Twisted thinking, and not thinking when decorating.
