all these people care about is getting you into an apartment- after that, they could care less.

First off, there is no tanning booth or Jacuzzi, they told us it was coming soon when we moved in....2 years ago. You need a laundry card to do laundry but can only put money on it when the office is open and have to walk through the clubhouse to the other side....good luck if you have young children like me, it takes over 5 mins to get into the place, put money on your card, and get back to your car. One time, I called the office to tell them I was on my way to put money on my laundry card before they closed and when I got there, they had closed 5 mins early...right after I got off the phone with them.
The first incident came one month after my husband and I moved in. The people upstairs let their dog onto the porch to pee instead of walking him (so, yes, the dog pee inevitably poured down onto our porch). We complained at least 2 times to the management and nothing was done until finally, the 3rd time this happened, and after we kindly spoke to the neighbors upstairs ourselves, the management ordered the people to stop letting their dog out. By this time, a couple of my sons ride-on toys had been ruined, his Jaco-lantern for halloween had to be thrown out, my patio furniture was covered, my outdoor porch carpet was just disgusting so we had to throw it out...etc. After begging the downstairs neighbors to clear their patio and let us pour water onto our porch and furniture to flush away the dog pee, we demanded someone come bleach our porch since we have a 2 year old that plays on it. When they finally came, the maintenance man dripped bleach through my entire house....from the entryway to my back porch slider. Up until the day we moved, we had huge bleach spots trailed accross our carpet. They said they would relace the carpet. Never happened.
A year ago, the water heater in the apt. above me broke and sent gallons of water through my ceiling and into our hallway closet...damaging electrical work. The maintenance guy told me not to worry about the water that had seeped inside the lightbulb and socket and just let it "dry out for a couple days". They were supposed to come paint over the huge water stains that run down our walls within the following week but then never came back. I called the office staff to remind them but they too never got back to me. Then I just gave up.
A couple other incidents included teenagers roaming through the parkinglot at night, looking into people's car windows, ketchup being put in the soap dispensers of all the washing machines, making them unusable, construction (paving) being done an all of the roads and parkinglots within countryside village AT THE SAME TIME without any prior notice to the residents. No one could drive in or out of the complex without having to drive through huge potholes. A number of cars had bottomed out and had other damage done. My husbands car was totalled by a baseball bat after I moved the car to the end of my parkinglot as instructed to do so by the office staff since there was going to be a big snowstorm and we were leaving town and had no one to move it on the day of the storm prior to the plows coming through. When we returned to town, every window was shattered and we had to have it towed to the junkyard.
There's so much more I could write, but you get the point.
And if you're thinking that we must have been bad tenants or complained alot and had enemies in the area...its not true. Far from it. My husband had surgery on his knee the first fall/winter we were here and was out of work for 4 months...so toward the end of his recovery, he was tired of being cooped up in the house so he would go outside the morning after every snowfall and shovel the walkway (because the management does not maintain the building walkways)for everyone, and help the eldery tenants in our building clean off their cars.
Hope you have as much fun as we had renting from those -------s!
