Where to start... my first year at this place wasnt so bad. Then I came to the realization that basically adolescent teenagers run Devonshire. Last summer, I had a wasp nest living on top of my AC unit, and aparently there was a space where the wasps were able to come into my apartment. I called for about 3 months (no joke), when I had my lawyer step in and make a call letting them know that they were violating the NH housing standard laws by allowing insects to live in my apartment. they immediately sent over 2 maintence people who simply took wasp killer and sprayed this potent crap all over my couch, mirror, $500 tv and stand (which they ruined). STILL TO THIS DAY the damn wasp nest is outside!! Not to mention the entire month of NOVEMBER that I didnt have hot water! All they gave me was a $50 compensation, which I had to fight for. Now, the icing on the cake. I have been on this so called 'waiting list" for a 1 bedroom apt for almost 2 years. When i resigned my lease in OCT 2006, the manager Debbie cleary noted that I was next on this "waiting list". Come to find out, they rented that 1 bedroom to a new tenant, who was never on a waiting list in January of '06. They simply call this a "oversight" and refuse to do anything to compensate me. I have called the Corporate Office now for almost a week, and still have no response. This place is a joke, and I would NEVER recommend to even my worst enemy to rent from Devonshire Village in Manchester NH.

so why would you want to move to another apartment in the same complex?
