DO NOT MOVE TO GREENVIEW!

The sign out on the road says "Luxury Apartments in Quiet Neighborhood." I think another complex misplaced their sign. We pay $975 for a 2BR/1Bath. The apartment itself is fine, other than the horrible paint job in the bathroom (they didn't quite remove the wallpaper glue before painting). Everything works fine, they painted the walls and replaced the carpets before we moved in. We had a horrible problem with carpenter ants when we moved in. You could actually hear them chewing in the walls. After three months, management finally called in an exterminator. This was after they placed one ant trap behind the toilet (where we didn't have ants in the first place). Maintenance has otherwise been OK and pretty quick. The management on the other hand is the worst ever. They will talk to you as long as you are not calling to complain or report a problem, and the manager is off-limits unless you threaten the office staff. There have been 5 complex managers since we moved in 20 months ago... Yes, that is 4 months per manager. It must be a great job in a great community! That should tell them something. We have written almost a dozen letters to the office, mostly about our neighbors and their all day parades in concrete shoes above us. We can also hear our neighbors swearing at their children, which is a nice touch when you have guests visiting. Some apartments have three or four children and two adults in them. The children play in the hallways, loudly. They run up and down the stairs, play ball, etc... in the hallways or on the outside stairs and walkways. Explain to me how that makes it a "quiet neighborhood." Greenview Village is generally a horrid place to live. Loud, messy, poorly maintained, horribly managed and overpriced. I would gladly pay $1200 or more for an apartment...if it were worth it. I think since Greenview normally has 100% occupancy (mostly due to lack of housing in Manchester), they feel they can sacrifice customer service. It is too bad that these reviews (obviously) have not been read by Construction Planning & Management, the company that owns Greenview Village and many other complexes in NH and MA.
