Pinewood states was my very first apartment. I was excited to move in, to say the least, and was welcome to a nice large 1 bedroom apartment. I parked out front, moved my stuff in, and took pleasure in setting up what little furniture I owned.

Over the course of my stay, I didn't experience many problems. I enjoyed the setup of the apartment immensely, and all the space it offered. Parking for guests was never a problem, parking for myself was also never a problem.

I was able to hear my neighbors more than I wanted, though it was never a real problem. I didn't have anyone living above me, so I'm not entirely sure if that would've been worse. Like I said, it was never an actual problem, moreso just a part of apartment complex life.

This was back in 2000-2001, and the rental staff was very nice. I was able to pay rent downstairs from where I lived, instead of having to send it out in the mail. Problems I had were fixed, though once the maintenance folks dumped plaster in my sink drain which ruined my disposal unit.

Biggest problem I experienced, was that when I moved out, the rental office folks weren't so eager to let me park out front, and instead I had to park the truck out back, which is not only inconvenient, but annoying to have to stick a massive moving truck between two cars and block a few spots. I was lucky no one needed me to move it. I felt it was very rude of them to make me move out somewhere no one could see me, but extended welcoming arms to me when I was moving in.

Parking: 5/5, I always had a spot fairly close to my door. My guests never had any problems with parking on the street.

Noise: 4/5, it was present, but not in a manner that ever bothered me.

Gounds: 4/5, there isn't much real estate to be upkept, but they do a good job with it.

Safety: 4/5, again you park so close to the building, there's not much worry to be had. However, there was a path through the woods from other complexes to my parking lot, which could easily be a problem if someone wanted it to be.

Construction: 4/5, I liked everything, though the toilet broke under my 170 pound average body, which seemed kinda cheap.

Maintenance: 3/5, they fixed things in a timely fashion, but messed up my disposal.

Office staff: 3/5, I'd go higher but they really screwed me over when I moved out.

Overall: 4/5, I've lived in much worse, and paid more for it. Then again, I've heard of friends at similar complexes on the same road that pay nearly $100 less.
