I had so many problems with this company I could write a book or consult with the HUD.
I don't know if the fella is there anymore (the muthaf*cka with all the fake gold), but he jacked my rent up twice after we made verbal agreements for a ghetto shack on the west side of Manch. I was 18 and this was my first apartment and living in the ghetto made my scared as hell. First, the apartment was broken into one morning and all of my electronics were stolen. Fine, I'll file a police report. Mr. Gold Chain advised me to change the locks then said he would make sure they were changed. After 1 month, never happened. Two months later, got home, broken in again. This time, most of the furniture was missing AND the apartment stunk of weed. Cops tried to help-nothing. Then some days later, I knocked on the neighbor's door to ask them to turn down the ghetto rap and saw my COUCH and TV in THEIR LIVING ROOM!!! I had them arrested and pleaded my case to Mr. Gold Chain asking them to be evicted for their own good and moving me somewhere else for my own protection. He had nothing to do with the matter and was seperating himself from the problem. He said that it was a police matter and that I couldn't break the terms of my lease. Now, by this time, my furniture is full of what i suspect are weed cherry holes and smells like a Colt 45. The rest of my electronical stuff was missing (i presumed it was sold for more drugs) and my loveseat had been pissed on. I had to replace my entire apartment and spent some of the money from my rent stash to pay for furnashings. Mr. Gold Chain decided to pay me a personal visit with an eviction notice for unpayed rent. I had had it with him at this point, got my ---- and got the f*ck out. I would not recommend his roach-infested apartments or even gazing at his slimy yellow smile. Both might kill you. My advice- talk to the neighbors of these places before you decide to move into one EVEN IF the apartment looks suitable to your needs. Odds are, the neighbors will be the first to d*ck you over and there is nothing the Red Oak Apartment people (especially Mr. Gold Chain) can do for you.
