To the reviewer that said "READ THE LEASE", I say this - I did. But sometimes even the best plans go sour. (Three family business layoffs in 2 years) To the review that said re-renting a unit is illegal if they're charging you - I'd like to say please let me know if there's any way anyone can find out who's in #301 of 141. If they've been there within 3 months of February, 2005, I may have a case.

When I talked to management and told them there was a problem coming up where both myself and my roommate had lost our jobs, they said there wouldn't be a problem and that we'd be able to work something out. Unfortunately the "something" was a $2000 fee that ballooned into a $3000 fee once we vacated the premises without handing over $2000 we didn't even have.

I had few issues with management over the time I was there, however one time a vehicle was towed without warning for an overlooked inspection sticker and it required paying nearly $100 to get back, while cars missing entire quarterpanels would sit unmoved for months at a time. The snowplow people continually buried cars in the parking spaces, and in general the staff was inconsiderate. The "air conditioning" was a joke (an in-window unit slapped into a box) and airflow in the apartment layout was practically nonexistent.

I'm going to be calling the management of Sunset Ridge tomorrow, and will be asking them when they filled the 141 #301 apartment. If anyone reading this still lives in Sunset Ridge and could possibly ask the people in that unit when they moved in, I'd really appreciate it. this place is a rip off I personally applied and told them up front my credit scor was low due to a divorce ,I had a great refernce from present landlord and other references,today august 20,2006.I still have not received my deposit back .I filled with the state attorneys for a official complaint.I did not receive the apartment back on July 17,2006.Still waitin g for my money.The Management Lied.
