My boyfriend and I moved into one of Washington Park's larger apartments in 2002. We loved the roomy unit and the open layout. Rent has gone up some in the past year but nothing to complain about. Maintenance has always been right on top of any problems we've had and even once fixed a lightbulb I couldn't get to while my boyfriend was out of town.
Our new downstairs neighbors smoke ALOT and we have to keep our slider shut most of the time even though we are on the third floor where it gets REALLY HOT and even in the winter we like to have the windows open. The A/C is out of date and doesn't cool the apartment in the summer but we aren't allowed to install our own.
Laundry is ok but they could really do everyone a favor and find a company that uses those rechargable cards instead of quarters. And of course more washers and dryers would always be helpful.
My biggest complaint is the new people that they have working for the company though...THey recently started calling to let people know if they had a package delivered and spoiled some presents I had bought. When I asked the woman at the desk if they could make a note to please not call when we receive packages (We always pick them up quickly) She practically yelled at me and said "like I'll remember you"

Also renewing our lease is always a problem there is NEVER anyone in the office to answer questions and if you work M-F 9-5 forget it you need to take like half a day off if there's anything you need fixed.
Hopefully we'll be moving into a house this year
