My first interaction with the rental office was the most rude, unhelpful, and uncaring I have ever experienced or seen. It appears that even though I called with a request, I was treated as though I was a bother. I was just blown off. She wouldn't even allow me to put in a maintenance request. Without getting into specifics, I just want to emphasize that this company will make dreamy promises to you until you sign the lease, but, don't expect them to be timely or interested in addressing any real concerns you may have. Hopefully I won't have to interact with them again and if I had any enemies, I surely wouldn't even give Washington Park their business.

This is so true. I currently live at Washington Park and what they told my husband and I prior to signing our lease was a bunch of crap. Nothing they say is true and the office staff is rude. We have had countless issues and most of them have taken far to long to get squared away. My favorite is the fact that I live in a non-smoking building, yet multiple tenants smoke on their patios. The maangement here claims to take these issues seriously and deal with these tenants, but I have lived here for almost 2 years and the tenants who were smoking still are. Apparently they don't realize that by allowing this to continue, they are violating my lease. Anyways, don't believe a word they say.

I live in Washington Park too, and they do not care about tenants at all. I have requested for maintenance to come and take care of our banging pipes and water problems for the past 4 months and finally a few days ago they decided to come by and they told us there was nothing that could be done, this is a typical response. Washington park will do as little as possible if anything but they are more than happy to take your rent money each month. As I am writing this my pipes are still banging there is STILL horrible smell in my bedroom which i have been told doesn't smell, just recently the roof was leaking and caused a smell that will not go away but no one will do anything about this. I am in the process of finding a way to get out of the lease..because washington park has been nothing but hell since the day we moved itn.

I've lived in WP for almost a year and I've never experienced any of those problems. Everything that they told me has been true. As for maintenance, for instance, the other day I called about my garbage disposal not working, they were here the next day and fixed it. I live in a non-smoking building also, but as they told me when the least was signed, you are allowed to smoke on your patio. Just not in the building, which makes sense. There is one lady in the office that is absolutely rude, but everyone else has been nice! The air conditioners suck, but other than that, I've had a wonderful experience living here!
