Maintenance is extremely professional and fast - though I only needed service one time in over 11 months (to re-align the laundry room door). Quiet 90% of the time - occasional loud tenants on weekends. Some apartments rented to local corporations, used as short-term professional housing (aka quiet). 1 fire alarm in 11 months, and it was a planned test. Tenants are very diverse, from college students to families with children to retirees and veterans of all ages. Parking fills up quickly at some of the lower buildings, but since permit parking started, I've always had a space.

The best part of this complex is the washer/dryer in your apartment - full size and quiet enough to run later in the evening. Amazing marsh views for like $50-100 more a month, garage extra $100 month (and you can rent it just for the months you really want it). Gas appliances are awesome. 1 bed/bath electric $45/mo, water $25, Gas $75 (On annually budgeted gas plan, heat set @ 72. Left heat off while away for Christmas, came back to apt at 64 after 3 days w/o heat).

The clubhouse is nice, though the gym and pool are a bit small. Office staff is professional and quick to point out that they treat everyone the same way. Expect an ammenity fee when you sign the lease - all fees are clearly explained up front, including late fees. Try to get 3rd floor, and marsh view - extra rent is totally worth it.

Offer to extend lease to 2nd year included minimal rent increase ($50/mo.) and incentive to sign 13 month lease. Free coffee in the clubhouse, candy at Halloween, resident breakfast, complex bingo, crafts fair all nice touches that show complexes' attempt to foster community.

Would definitely rent again, but am relocating south.

What???? You must be kidding! I've lived in 3 different buildings at WP and let me assure you "occasional loud tenants on weekends" is an understatement. I'd say over 60% of WP is rented to college students, and I stress, students. Many living in each unit. Very loud, love to party, love to stay up late and slam doors. All you can hear are doors slamming. Maintenance, I would agree is prefessional and fast. The funny part of the last review is the washer/dryer. "full size and quiet enough to run later in the evening". I laughed for 10 minutes after reading this. Tell that to your neighbor that hade to listen to your washer and dryer later in the evening. I can't believe you honestly think that your neighbors can't hear that. Also unbelievable is the comments on the office staff. "Professional and quick to point out that they treat everyone the same way". Where do you live? Florida? Office staff is rude, uninterested in you as a tenant after you sign your lease, and quick to charge you fees that were not explained. Yes, they're in the paperwork, no, they never mentioned them verbally during showing or lease signing. Do yourself a favor, avoid this place and move on to the next.

I agree with this response. Maintenance is great and they do a fantastic job around here. I hate to say it, but the issue with the college students is true. They do rent to many college students which I don't have a problem with but when they allow 3 or 4 rent the same place it creates trouble. They do love to party and make a lot of noise. The previous manager Carry was great and did a lot to take care of these problems. Hopefully our new manager will continue and do her job. It is a shame that there are many young residents who ruin the community. The grounds are beautiful and the apartments are really nice but the issue with college students takes away from that. And yes, I can guarantee your neighbors will here you doing your laundry. It's not the fact that the washers and dryers are loud. It's that the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything! Especially when it's late at night and quiet in your own apartment. I would only recommend living here if you have respectful neighbors.

Anonymous # 1 If this place is so bad how do explain living in 3 different apartments. Sounds like your just in a bad mood. The office staff is great maybe your just not a nice person and think everyone else in the world is wrong. Ive had no propblems here. If you cant tolerate noise go buy a house.

Messed up you turned the heat off in the winter for 3 days. Thats how pipes freeze and burst and cause major problems for your neighbors. DON'T EVER TURN YOUR HEAT OFF IN THE WINTER, instead set it for 60 or above.
