For the love of god and all that's holy try someplace else

This is quite simply the worst apartment complexes I've ever lived in. I picked this place to begin with because it is close to my job and allows dogs.

A major problem is that other people with dogs refuse to pick up after them. This results in a minefield of droppings near the front door - especially in really cold weather. Sometime last week some one's dog left a very nasty semi-liquid mess on the stairs. It has yet to be cleaned up 6 days later.

They also rent to people who don't know how to behave in a civilized manner. My neighbors across the hall (recently evicted but sadly typical) were regularly visited by the police and occasionally hauled away in handcuffs. We were constantly waking up to hear their drama being voiced noisily in the hallway or one of their addict friends banging on the door demanding to know if they 'had any'. It only took a year for them to be kicked out. If only some day they get to the rather similar tenants two doors down the hall

The most unforgivable single event was when I came home at 7pm one Sunday to find the doors blocked by saw horses and a sign on the door from the town saying that the build was condemned. Apparently one of the pipes to sprinkler system burst, flooding 4 apartments at about 1pm that day. When I called the management to find out about the situation, the person answering the phone at the call center had no idea that there was a problem. Eventually I got to a call center manager who would only tell me we could not go in and that they would pay for a hotel for the night. I had to break in to my own apartment to rescue my dog (the poor thing had been terrified with no lights and the alarm going off for hours) and get clothes for work the next day. Would it have been so hard to contact everyone in the building when the accident happened' They had all our emergency/cell numbers. What about having some one at the leasing office to help people find a place for the night' Nothing. At one point the person at the call center suggested I call the Red Cross!

Frankly, you can do better. Really, any other place will do. It doesn t matter if you have to drive from Peterborough or Manchester don not move here. It s just not worth it.
