Worst place I've ever lived

I have been renting for 13 years and have lived all over the country. Woodland Heights is by far the absolute worst place I have ever lived. Anyone on here who says otherwise is either A.) an employee of Mayo/Woodland Heights or B.) one of the many complete trash residents that ruin the place for everyone else. No decent person would ever say this place is great.

- They will rent to anyone which means there are a whole lot of people living here that are just trash. People have no respect for anyone or anything. People vandalize the walls, urinate in the hallways, leave garbage everywhere, completely trash the pool in the summer, the cops come to the complex for various things all the time, and many of the people are just plain rude. More than once there have been scumbags outside at 2am shooting paint balls at cars in the parking lots.

- The maintenance is horrible. They do a terrible job plowing in the winter and leave it up to people to move their cars voluntarily instead of towing those who won't move, which means the parking lot doesn't get completely plowed. Many of the things that I have needed repaired in my apartment are still waiting to be fixed after 9 months of complaints.

- The laundry facilities are a joke. There are 3 washers and 3 dryers for 30 apartments. In my building, one of the machines has been broken for months and no one fixes it. Residents keeps putting signs on there to warn others not to use it because it doesn't spin out and all the maintenance team does is tear down the sign, they never fix the machine. This results in people using the remaining two, one of which is about half the size of the other. What ends up happening is everyone just uses the one larger machine and it ends up jammed with quarters because they don't empty the coin compartment often enough so you can't even use that machine half the time.

- The parking situation is insane. When I signed my lease, I was given a sticker to put in my window to show that I'm a resident. I was told that any cars without stickers would be towed. In the 9 months I have lived here, I haven't seen a single person get towed. If you come home after about 7pm, you will not find a place to park because nearly half the lot is filled with cars that have no sticker. Guests are supposed to park in the guest lot but they never do, they just hog the resident spots and no one cares.

- The pool was so disgusting this past summer that I wouldn't even use it. People were tossing furniture in it, throwing food, drinks, and garbage in it, throwing rocks in it, etc. It was so gross at one point and the water so cloudy, you could barely make out the huge black "W" at the bottom of the pool. You are supposed to have a pool pass in order to get in but they don't do that now apparently because no one was there to check. People from all over town were allowed to just come use the pool whenever they felt like it.

- The rent is way too high for what you're getting. They sucker people in with sweet deals like the first month free and only a low security deposit to get in. They offer new comers short leases but then once that lease is up, they completely screw you. We started out paying $960 for our 2 bedroom. When our lease was up, we had the choice of signing on for a year and having the rent go up to $970 or going month to month so that we can get the hell out once we find another place and having our rent jacked up to $1070. We went month to month because I don't want to be here any longer than I have to but the fact that I have to pay $110 a month more than when we moved in really irks me. I currently pay more for my 2 bedroom than the guy who just moved into the 3 bedroom in the building. How screwed up is that'!

DO NOT move to this hell hole, especially if you have kids! You will regret it, trust me. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Everything you're saying is soooo true!!! I do my laundry across town now, because I am sick & tired of going down to the office to be reimbursed for money I've lost in the ------ laundry room & the ignorant people that leave their clothes in the machines long after they're done!!! I've lived at WH off & on since 1975 & unfortunately I am still living here. We can't really afford to move, but when we get the chance....we're outta here!!! In the almost 34 years that I have lived here (off & on), this is the absolute worst I've seen it!!! This place used to be pretty classy, but since the Mayo Group took over several years ago, this place has gone downhill....and fast!!! Their main office is in Boston & they own several apt. complexes & business properties in both NH & MA. They also run Laurel Hill Apts. down the road & I'm sure that place isn't much better. If anybody sees this post, BEWARE, DO NOT MOVE HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!! I promise you, you will regret it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have only lived here since Sept. but I have to agree with you to a point. I hate to say it, but all apartment complex's seem to have these same problems. At least WH has the biggest apts with the most closets.
