If ALL You Care About Is Lots Of Space...

then this is the place for you. In Milford complex's, I have never seen as many closets as there are in my apartment. 1 full size in each bedroom, a wide shelf closet in the hallway and yet another closet in the living room and on top of that, a mini broom closet in the kitchen!
PEOPLE
That being said, I have had things stolen off my porch, the kids in the neighbourhood are simply horrid. The police are here daily for domestic issues and there is often things broken by violent people in the building. You can quite literally hear screaming down the hallway if it's quiet in your apt.
BUILDING
The laundry rooms rarely work correctly, but management does allow apt size washer/dryers. You are not allowed to have air conditioners in your windows, nor are you allowed to keep anything on your private balcony besides plants and patio furniture. Anything else WILL BE CONFISCATED. The apts are fairly large, but very dark.
UTILITIES
Electric heat which you are responsible for, tho some buildings do include heat in the rent. My highest electric bill was 150, normally about 100 per month with average to high electric use and moderate heat use.
MAINTANANCE
It really depends on who you talk to, but you have to remind the office daily until your problem is solved. Usually the problem needs to be resolved repeatedly. This can be quite frustrating.
LEASING INFO
Yes, they have the "move-in special" but it requires a 14 MONTH LEASE rather than the usual year. THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO GET OUT OF THIS LEASE. Other apts buildings I have been in will usually allow you to be relinquished for major reasons, not this one, short of death, youre stuck with it. After the first lease, they WILL raise your rent the second year even if they're offering new residents a cheaper rate.
STORAGE
You simply cannot access it at all without an hours worth of shoveling in the winter. Whatever you plan on putting in there, you better plan on leaving in it there undisturbed throughout the winter months.
PLAYGROUND
Has filth written on the inside of the jungle gym area. Better not ever allow your children to be there unattended or they will be at the mercy of the older children. The picnic tables are usually covered with dirt, so plan on a cleanup before you plan on a BBQ. People will walk their pets through here as well, be careful of where you play in the sand and where you walk in the grass. NEVER COME THROUGH HERE BAREFOOT.
POOL
Simply awesome, best around! But many unattended children can make it difficult to enjoy when you're trying to relax. Far too much chlorine, but then again...many kids 'seasoning' the pool with their own fluids.
PARKING
Horrendous. Nuff said.
