Don't let the negative comments turn you away from the property.
We looked at 5 other apartments in Nashua before we decided on Bay Ridge. We are family of three.
A couple of things for people looking at this apt complex:
I have found that the smaller the building the better the experience. The dog buildings are a lot larger and I suspect more noisy. If you DO have a dog try to find a smaller building (Casco Dr has one). If you DO NOT have a dog try building 5# on Casco Drive. It is generally very quiet and the tennants are very nice (we hardly see them) We will move to a house soon and it will be avail in July 2003.
There is one member of the office staff (Sylvia) who is not the most tactful person but I have had positive experiences with both Nancy and Beth.
On a side note: I did have noisy family neighbors on my left (at first) that I heard through the walls but to be honest the apartments are too small for 4 person families, it doesn't surprise me they fought a lot. They moved out after 3 months.
I had one noisy experience with my upstairs neighbor late at night but my husband and I went upstairs and talked with him. He did not realize that we could hear his cross country ski machine in the bedroom. (He ended up getting rid of it) he has been great ever since.
The appliances are older but they work and maintaince does come right away when I call for something to be fixed. I love that each unit has a washer and dryer.
The Bay Ridge neighborhood is safe, quiet and the lake is a good place to walk around after work.
Overall, I give the apts a 3.75-4 overall.
One last word of advice: Talk to your neighbor,. Many times they do not realize that they are being that loud. My $.02 take it or leave it.
