We just moved out of this apartment complex. My experience was a horrible one particularly with the management of this apartment. They are good to us as long as u r with them, but when u move out, they show their real face. They inspected the apt and did not complain about it. Then after 15 days of my move out, i get a huge bill for the repair.I accepted one item in the bill since it was my mistake but the rest was total false allegation. I tried talking to the manager and staff but they are very rude and total unprofessional while talking particularly the manager. Thanks for the AIMCO Management who are on top of these guys, I could resolve the issue else these people would have ripped me apart. So my advice would be if u r desperately looking for so called luxury (which bay ridge does not have.. the only thing is the washer-dryer on unit), do not rent these apt and for those who are already there, please use ur camcorder to record and shoot everything before u move. this will help u to counter their allegation. Hope this helps.

The other things that I would like to point out is their parking is totally nightmare. There are very few apts which does not have this problem else most of them have. And as far as safety is concerned, they are not that safe as they claim. In Aug 2006, a car window was smashed to steal navigation system. The only good thing about this apt is the good maintenance service and the maintenance staff. The other thing this apt is damn expensive, if you think the 1st year rent is expensive, just wait until ur lease expire. ANd yes.. be ready to pay for heat, electricity (very high compared to other apt) and water(an additional pain). And regarding the space, for the rent u r paying, it is not average. There are good things about this apartment like Swimming pool (which is open for 4 months in a year), health club which is good but pain (u need to pick up ur code every month to enter the club).
