If you read the positive 'review' popsted previously it's obvious someone who works in the Bay Ridge office wrote it, and really, how embarrassing for them'
The office staff doesn't really care about its tenants, so don't confuse a stuck-on smile as genuine. I've lived in several apartments before in cities and suburbs, and this community is OVERPRICED. First, it's Nashua. There is no redeeming quality to Nashua (or most of New Hampshire, why do you think the Man in the Mountain gave up') There isn't consistent ample parking. I rented a 2 bedroom as a single person and struggled to find parking many times, meanwhile the girl that lived in in a 1 bedroom apartment in the building always seemed to park her own car and her boyfriend-of-the-week's car front and center. Should parking be assigned' Perhaps.
The gym was fine, but getting a new code each month was a pain in the neck. I wouldn't touch the pool as it seemed there were always kids in it.
Neighbors rudely and aggressively complained to me about noise which was ridiculous considering I never played music and if the TV was on it wasn't loud (I lived alone). Their bullying tactics were not quelled by the office after I complained. Truthfully, I always found it to be relatively quiet - and if you can't handle the general noise of people living around you, don't live in an apartment.
The major complaint was the consistent smell of cigarettes which came through the bathroom from the apartment below. The carpeting also smelled of smoke even on the day I moved out and I have never smoked a cigarette in my life.
The pet fees are ridiculously high and for that reason, people sneak in pets. Good for them - the 'pet rent' is not a fair rate. They could replace the carpets 10 times with the amount they charge.
Nancy in the office is quick to shoot first and ask questions later. Keep your guard up at all times with her. She will accuse you of damage that isn't there or has nothing to do with you.
Due to a technical error their billing system showed that I did not owe rent as one lease ended and my next began. I could not remember if I had paid a first and last month's rent at the time I signed the first lease. I not only pay on time, I often pay EARLY because I travel a lot. I have never paid a bill late. I received an invoice showing a zero balance and thought monies I had paid previously had been applied and thought nothing of it. TEN DAYS later the office called me to tell me that my rent was overdue - I went to the office immediately and explained my confusion with the $0.00 invoice - their response' "Yeah, we thought it was strange that your rent was late considering you always pay on time or early." AND THEN THEY MADE ME PAY A LATE FEE.
I had a colleague who lived here who was hospitalized out of state and he called to pay his rent over the phone and they assessed an extra charge to him too.
TELL YOUR FRIENDS: DO NOT LIVE AT BAY RIDGE AND BOYCOTT ALL AIMCO COMMUNITIES.
They need to learn how to treat humans.
Good luck!

There are way too many similar complaints over the years about this apartment complex for it not to be true. As far as the positive reviews: Just the fact that someone actually writes that there is ample parking indicates that the positive reviews are written by management.

I have lived at Bay Ridge for 3 years now and I love it, and NO I do not work there. Parking is an issue, but this is also why they have car-ports. It is a small price to pay to ALWAYS have a spot when you come home. Living there is like living at any other apartment community...you have parking issues, you have noise, you have funky smells, the office staff may not always be to your liking but hey what are you going to do....perhaps buy yourself a house!!!!!!!

I'm confused, why should tenants who already pay high rents to live there at this place also have to pay the small price of $50.00 per month in extra rent to park their vehicle in a carport? Hey, that extra $50.00 per month required for a carport can add to the downpayment of that house that everyone wants to have one day and is saving for. It seems that no one at Bayridge is happy!

$50.00 a month isnt bad for always having a spot. If there is such a problem is it not worth paying for. 50 bucks is nothing if you break it down in a month-that is probably more than what the average person spends on coffee. As far as the rent prices I dont think that they are higher then any other property I have looked at in Nashua. When the rent is cheaper so is the property and the tenents.

I'm baffled, I live on Chadwick and absolutely love this place. My wife and I will be sorry to leave. Parking is no issue on our end. The office staff has always been great to us, Nancy in particular.

I moved to bayridge cup of month ago. What I think so far is office pople who work there is not greate pople, Nncy is tough, I always haveing hard time deal with her. And big manager(GM?) in the office the woman behave is unacceptable either. I paying rent but, office pople dont know how to recpect residence who live in there. I cant recommend bayridge, unless office pople quite. |

I have lived there for 6 months! In this 6 months i have had a motorcycle stolen 2 times. The first time was after only being there a few days. The second time i had a motorcycle stolen was after living there 2 months. Now 6 months into my lease i have had my truck broken into. Besides my problems there have been about 16 other cars broken into in my 6 months living there. The complex does not care about you or your property! All they care about is getting payed on the first of the month. I have inquired about breaking the lease and their response is you ahve to give 2 months notice, and pay 2 months worth of rent ($2600)..... Normally i could understand this if i was breaking the lease just becasue i changed my mind...but in my case I have spent almost $3,000 on deductables and locks and alarms to secure my vehicles...all becasue this complex doesnt care to implement some kind of security measures. When i spoke with the police they said that half a mile up the road they have no problems with crime or vehicle theft/vandalisim. Oh lets not forget that the complex just recently had their sign vandalized (along with tenants vehicles) and they had to replace the whole sign.
