I just moved into these apartments and absolutely love them so far! They are slightly more expensive than some in the area but they also offer specials for certain apartments each month that are reasonable- my apartment for the 1st year is $60 a month cheaper than it would have been. The apartments are very clean with newer appliances and they do allow you to have pets, although there is pet "rent" that you have to pay each month. I looked at other apartments in the area that were HORRIBLE, dirty and covered in mold for around the same price! There is some noise, as I live on the first floor but it is nothing more than living in any other apartment complex below someone! Only difference is that these people who live here seem to be much more respective of their neighbors than other apartments I have lived in in Boston and other areas. If you don't like a little noise, don't get an apartment- you should get a house! The staff is sometimes forgetful in terms of requests but if you are pleasant to them they are pleasant to you! Overall, I love the complex and my apartment so far!

Wait til you've lived there for a few months, you'll change your tune! Hey did you know your rent is going to skyrocket after your 1st year!

I agree with the first response every year they up the rent. One year it hiked up more than the current advertized price.

Newer appliances? Not by a long shot. Working condition? I would say so. I looked at other apartments that appeared cleaner than Bay Ridge with updated equipment. -"If you don't like a little noise, don't get an apartment- you should get a house!" Not so fast. Noise often occurs outside of a home. The absence of neighbors below and above is a benefit of owning a home. However, there are plenty of homeowners who have issues with noisy homeowners. Its a fact of life I guess. Choose your location wisely. Not all residents of Bay Ridge are considerate of their neighbors. Neighbor issues often occur in many apartment complexes. There are people who are happy at Bay Ridge and others who have issues. If you want total silence, purchase an island. However, you may have to deal with new noisy neighbors, animals and insects. :)
