two totally different experiences..

I was origially living in the brick buildings and although the apartment interior ws nice, it really wasnt worth the noisey and annoying neighbors. Teenage boys played blaring music in their cars right outside my window every night at all hours, you could hear everything in the apartments around you, and the people litterally made me feel like I was living in the ghetto. There were always people screaming and fighting and guys sitting on the door step looking up girls skirts when they walked by. There was NO parking anywhere, and three times while I was living there(for not even two months) there were acts of vandalism on cars due to the limited amount of parking. People litterally RAM into other cars to push them out of the way. I was always getting blocked into parking spots and there was really nothing you could do about it.
Then I moved into a townhouse. Its 100 percent better over here. The grounds are much nicer, you can not hear the neighbors, and the parking is wonderful. The only issue seems to be that the walls in the actual apartment are paper thin. You can hear EVERYTHING.
In gerneral, maintence is decent. They respond quickly but dont seem to resolve anything (GROSS tub and moldy windows for instance). There are unsupervised children of all ages running the place rampant, and the mail always seems to be getting screwed up. Management has been better than average.
The ratings are based on my current apartment.
