It's cheap, but what you pay is what you get

I wouldn't recommend this place. The management people are as smart as bricks - unable to make compromises to solve problems, and don't even understand why they have the rules that they do. They're very nice to you when you first move in, but once you've signed, they don't give a damn about you any more.

They also won't let you look at the place you're moving into either, and that's for a reason. It's mostly likely very old, with dingy carpet that has a weird smell (took me 3 passes with a carpet cleaner to get the smell out). The walls had a bunch of unexplained holes and water damage, the A/C was about 10 yrs old, and I had a pretty major ant infestation during the summer (I lived on the first floor).

The insulation between floors is pretty thin so it's very easy for neighbors to get on each other's nerves.

Parking is first come first serve, though I personally think that it's stupid how they have 3 handicapped parking spaces for 15 regular parking spaces in some spots. Beware since I parked in a handicapped spot for a short time to get something in my place and got "ticketed" by the security people.

I also had a package stolen from the front step one day. Of course no one saw a thing and no one cared to help. So beware of the undisciplined children running around, they will probably steal your stuff if you don't watch it.

The basketball court/ tennis courts are torn apart and almost unusable. I went to the pool once but it didn't look very clean so I stayed away, but I've seen lots of people in it.

The good things are that I didn't feel in danger at any point when I lived there. In fact I went running at night around the complex all the time and nothing ever happened to me. The rent was also pretty cheap and there is a lot of open space, just not a lot of usable space (non existent countertop, broken cabinets).

If you can get them to let you look at the actual apt, then I'd go for it, but otherwise, I'd be very cautious.
