My wife and I stayed there for three years. Honestly speaking, it is a OK place, cheap in rent and convenient to highway. The manager is nice. But I will tell you why I don't recommend this place.
1. The owner is a jerk. When we moved in, the carpet was almost worn out and dirty. There were holes in the wall. We said to ourselves, it's an old building and those are normal. So, we didn't complain. When we moved out early this year, the carpet was almost in the same condition as when we moved in. But the owner charged us $300 from our security deposit for carpet repair. We made several phone calls to the owner. But he doesn't want to return our money. In the end, he stopped picking up his phone. Also, in the first week we moved out, we had a package delivered to that unit. The owner opened up our package, although it was clearly addressed to me. That's illegal!!! What a jerk.
2. They don't clean the snow/ice promptly in the winter. I remember several days after an ice storm, my neighbor in the first floor fell on the ground because of the ice. She seriously broke her neck.
3. There is a plaza next to the building. A generator runs every Sunday night from 9pm to midnight. The noise is horrible. Even if you close your window, you cannot go to sleep at all. It used to be every day. I think some one complained. But it is still once a week.
4. It's a very very old building, everything is leaking and shaking. The owner is cheap. He collects rent but never repairs anything.
5. I have to say the manager is good. She's flexible and repairs small stuff pretty quick. But she can only do limited things since she's not the owner.
