Sucks!

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2003
I just read the other reviews and the last one about the place being great was obviously written by the office staff. I have lived her for awhile now...long enough. The rent is high for what you get. I moved here because we needed to find a place quickly and this was the only place that was accomodating.
The staff is ok...they are nice enough. Although their is one old crank that needs to go. The older apartments, where I live, have gas heat and its turned on and off by the gas company at the beginning and end of the seasons. You have control of it in your apartment by the thermostaff but the heat still comes out even if its turned off in your apartment. So when they turn it on in September and keep the heat running until the end of May their are lots of days that your apartment feels like a suana. Once I called about this and they told me to go hang out at the grocery store in the freezer section.
Other problems with the place is that its old and they don't update things like carpet and paint until you move out. I think these apartments were built in the 60's and I swear our carpet is that old...its gross and dirty and they could care less about replacing it. The kitchen floor is that cheap fake tile stuff and I bleach it all the time and still can't get it to look clean...its gross. And our bathroom has so much rot it makes you chringe when you step into the shower.
Their is no closet space, no storage area, and you do pay $1.50 a wash and $1.50 a dry. The walls have no insulation...very thin. You can hear everyones conversations as you walk by their apartment trying to get to your own. And they have alot of corporate apartments which means you never know who is living next door because they are always changing...its very sketchy at times. I don't think they do any sort of screening on applicants whats so ever. Not many people here speak English.
Overall I wouldn't move here long term. Because they don't do anything to take care of your apartment. And another thing the quit hours run probably from 9pm at night until 8am the next day but its okay for the grounds crew to show up and blow leaves under your windown at 7am. Thats always pleasant to wake up to.
Overall we haven't had the best experience here. Their are times that I feel very unsafe. I have woken up many nights and thought someone was breaking into my apartment. Thats a whole other issue!
