A positive experience

I would like to say a few words about where I live, here at Pheasant Run Apartments.

Location.
Initially, the location scared me a bit. Being from Vt., I was used to a very rural environment. Pheasant Run Apartments is located in South Nashua close to the Pheasant Lane Mall, which has to be one of the biggest malls in NH. I was a little apprehensive about living so close to so much retail business. The apartment complex is situated back on a hill almost rock throwing distance from Daniel Webster Highway, where most of these stores are located. But, because of the trees & vegetation (And being back on a hill), you can hardly see or hear much of the traffic. In fact, all this stuff is down in a small valley. It's a nice feeling to have breakfast in the warm morning sun and look out over all this, toward the receding hills. My patio window view may not be as spectacular as Vermont, but it's lot more tranquil than I expected.

Buildings and Apartments.
The buildings are attractive, brick faced, three-story structures. I happen to live in a two-bedroom apartment with an east-facing patio. The kitchen comes with a gas stove, refrigerator, dishwasher & garbage disposal. The kitchen size allows me to have a 42 inch round table in the corner, with four chairs, and still have room to maneuver around. The kitchen floors are vinyl with a tile design, and the cabinets are numerous enough to store everything I need. The rest of the apartment is carpeted & seems to have plenty of electrical outlets. It's also pre-wired for cable TV and telephone. The whole place is heated by gas fired hot water, which is included with the rent. The furnished air conditioner does a pretty good job when called upon & the laundry room downstairs uses a card system that you can recharge on one of two machines at the office. My bathroom has a 4 globe bulb light fixture over a medicine cabinet with three sectional mirrored doors. As in the kitchen, it has good quality fixtures & has ceramic tile surrounding the bathtub that also wraps around the sink. Easy to clean. The bedrooms have decent sized closets and there's a closet around the corner from the kitchen that I've made into a pantry. There's also a coat closet next to the main door. This is not a large apartment, but there's certainly more than enough room for me. And it doesn't take me forever to spiffy it up for company.

The grounds.
You should see this place during the spring and summer. There are plenty of trees, sculptured bushes & flowers. Lots of flowers. I fully expected by the end of spring, the flowers to stop. But more kept blooming throughout the summer. This place is easy to look at.

Parking.
Not much to say here. No problems. No assigned parking spots, but I've never had to search for a place to plant my vehicle.

The office.
The centrally located office is manned by some of the most friendly people you ever want to meet. If you have any kind of problem, they get on it. They give me every impression that they really want your stay here to be pleasant. Let's face it folks, when was the last time you were around any office personnel that even remotely gave you the impression that they cared.

Maintenance.
The maintenance crew actually lives here at Pheasant Run. They work hard. I know. When we get a big snowstorm, they are out plowing at 2:00 in the morning. If you need work done in your apartment, you go to the office, tell them about it, & the maintenance crew is right there to deal with it. If you're at work, you'll probably find a note, describing their fix, when you come home.

Other stuff.
This place has two pools, a tennis court, a small gym and what I guess I would call a gathering room near the office. You can rent this for private use (office parties, for instance) and has a fireplace, elegant furniture and a tasteful counter/kitchen for serving food drinks, etc.

Things I might change.
No place is perfect. The pool closes on Labor Day. I'd like to see it open a couple weeks longer. The bathroom fan is kind of noisy. On the Silver Drive side of the complex, the apartment floors tend to creak a bit, although I understand the Danforth Rd. side of the complex does not have that problem. The kitchen stove overhead vent does not vent to the outside. It's one that vents back into the kitchen. The filter screen does, however, clean nicely in the dishwasher.

Summary.
This is a great place to live. It's quiet. It's pretty. Lots of support. Comfortable. I would recommend that this place to anybody.
