Ridiculous late payment

I have lived many apartments complex nationwide for the last 13 years since freshman in college.
This is the only apartment they charge you for the late payment right after the first day of each month after closing the leasing office.
All other apartments have a kind of grace period or forgiveness rule for the first time as the courtesy. However, this complex tries to rob your money by the late fee $15.
Not everyone can receive the paycheck before the first day of month, especially if your company pays you in every two weeks.
If you live by paycheck, do not consider this apartment as your choice. This apartment considers the late fee as second source of revenue!!!
