I lived here for more than four years, through one management change, and I feel that it is a consistently good value for the money. The grounds are well-groomed and secluded, and it feels as if you're in a lovely rural setting even though you're one block from Rte. 3. The club house, pools, and fitness center are all well-maintained and equipped. The apartments are quiet, the neighbors are very nice, and the maintenance staff responded quickly when we (rarely) had a problem. During the infrequent instances of noisy neighbors at night--one tenant liked to place his long-distance phone calls at the edge of the pond at about 3 in the morning, and it sounded as if he felt obliged to shout his replies to China--the apartment security officers responded in minutes, no matter how late at night. The office staff was friendly and eager to be helpful. No apartment is completely perfect, but if you're looking for a place to live in commuting distance of Boston, this is an excellent choice. On days with light traffic, we timed it at 35 minutes, door-to-door, from our apartment to the Boston Museum of Science. It's about an hour to the NH seacoast, and 45 minutes to Harvard Square during light traffic.
