1) In their advertising
they do not list what the rent is like other apartment complexes do!
This opens the possibility for at least the "appearance" of setting the
rent depending on what they see entering their rental office.

This also allows them to raise the rent on individual tenants as they
would like, as the rental rates are not publicized. This is not an "on the level"
business practice in my opinion.

2) After the first year's lease, they expect the tenant to sign for another
year's lease. I do not believe this is protecting any one's interest in a fair way.
My experience is that most apartment complexes have a tenancy at will after
the first year. Moving is not easy to do, and allowing one only to do it
on one year boundaries, or suffer some penalty cost, is not fair to the tenant
in my opinion.

In 2005, we should not allow such "rigging" of rental practices
that rings to me of something one would expect in the early 1960's.
