Fine as long as you have a few bottles of water always handy

This summer will be our three year anniversary here and we've decided to move on:

Here's the pros:
-Parking is great or decent depending on how close your building is to a lot.
-Maintenance has always been quick, responsive, and through.
-Snow removal is great.
-They let you paint your apartment.
-Our particular apartment had brand new digital appliances when we moved in, hardwood floors in the kitchen and marble tile in the bathroom. But I've seen other apartments in my building that haven't been renovated in at least 10 years. So make sure you get a new-ish one.
-Great insulation. We rarely hear the neighbors.

But here's the con, and it's kind of big:
-Unreliable water supply. We've lost our water three times in just the last three months. Seven times since we moved in. Always with little or no notice and never any apology. I'm not sure why. We never get an explanation. I can only judge by the amount of water in the street that different water mains are breaking. This past Sunday when I had to drive to Burger King to use the bathroom was the final straw. No more.

I second that emotion. I've been living here for 3 years now and I think it's in the top 10% of apartments I've experienced... but whoever plumbed this complex should be jailed! Not only do the water mains break, with the attendant interruptions and brown water, but even at the best of times the water isn't clear. But that isn't the worst part - on two occasions the sewer line out of my building has plugged up and on one of those occasions I had sewage back into my bathtub! I live on the ground floor, which is why I get this. They've fixed it quickly both times but EEEWWWWWW!
